02 — Container Condition

New and Used Containers

Container appearance and condition can vary. Review the individual product description carefully before ordering.

New / Single-Trip Containers

Single-trip containers are generally newer units that have completed limited shipping use before being made available for sale.

  • Appearance: Typically cleaner with fewer signs of previous use.
  • Condition: May still have minor marks from transport and handling.
  • Suitable for: Customers who place greater importance on appearance as well as storage functionality.

Used Containers

Used containers may show normal signs of previous shipping and handling, including cosmetic marks, scratches, dents or surface corrosion.

  • Appearance: Cosmetic wear can vary from one unit to another.
  • Condition: Always check the individual product description for the stated grade and condition.
  • Suitable for: Storage and other applications where appearance may be less important.
03 — Delivery

Understanding Container Delivery

The most suitable delivery method depends on the container size, property access, placement location and transport availability.

01

Tilt-Tray Delivery

A tilt-tray truck can unload a container from the rear of the vehicle. Suitable access and sufficient space are required for safe unloading.

02

Side-Loader Delivery

A side-loader may be used where the container is to be placed alongside the delivery vehicle and suitable lateral access is available.

03

Other Transport Options

Alternative delivery equipment may be considered depending on the container, site conditions, location and local availability.

04 — Site Preparation

Prepare the Delivery Area

A relatively level, stable surface can help with container placement and normal door operation. Site requirements vary depending on ground conditions, container size and intended use.

Before Delivery

Tell us about gates, narrow access points, slopes, overhead obstacles or other conditions that may affect delivery.

01

Check Access

Make sure the delivery route is accessible and clear of obstacles that could prevent the transport vehicle from entering safely.

02

Prepare the Ground

A stable and reasonably level surface is generally preferable for container placement.

03

Consider Drainage

Where possible, choose an area that does not regularly collect standing water.

04

Confirm Door Direction

Let us know how you would prefer the container doors positioned when discussing delivery.
