Applicable GST treatment will be reflected in the product price, checkout, quotation or invoice.

Delivery

May Be Separate

Delivery charges may vary according to location, container size and transport requirements.

01

Australian Pricing

Prices shown on our website and in quotations are expressed in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless expressly stated otherwise.

Before completing an order, customers should review the final price together with any delivery charges or other clearly disclosed costs applicable to the order.

02

Goods & Services Tax (GST)

Australian GST is generally 10% on taxable supplies.

Where GST applies to a product or service supplied by Shipping Containers Pty Ltd, the applicable GST treatment will be reflected in the relevant product price, checkout, quotation or invoice.

Not every transaction necessarily receives identical tax treatment. Certain transactions may be GST-free or otherwise treated differently where Australian tax law provides for that treatment.

03

Website & Consumer Pricing

We aim to make the total price payable by customers clear before an order is completed.

Where GST is applicable and required to be included in displayed consumer pricing, the displayed price should reflect that amount.

Delivery costs may be displayed separately where they depend on the customer's destination, container size or required transport method.

Final Order Total

Customers should review the final quotation, checkout total or invoice before payment. Any applicable delivery charge or other disclosed order cost will be shown separately or included in the stated total.

04

Quotes for Business Customers

Business quotations may show prices as GST-inclusive or may separately identify the GST component, depending on how the quotation is prepared.

Where a price is stated as being exclusive of GST, this will be identified clearly and the applicable GST amount will be shown before payment is required.

Customers should rely on the final written quotation or invoice for the tax treatment and total payable for their particular order.

05

Tax Invoices

Where required or applicable, an appropriate invoice or tax invoice will be provided for completed transactions.

Documentation may include information such as:

  • Shipping Containers Pty Ltd as the supplier.
  • Our Australian Business Number: 41 635 891 735.
  • Invoice or transaction date.
  • Description of the products or services supplied.
  • The amount payable and applicable GST information.
  • Customer details where required or appropriate.
06

GST Credits for Business Customers

An eligible business may be able to claim GST credits for business purchases where the requirements of Australian tax law are satisfied.

Eligibility depends on the customer's own circumstances, GST registration, business use and supporting documentation.

Tax Advice

Shipping Containers Pty Ltd does not provide individual tax or accounting advice. Business customers should consult their accountant, tax adviser or the Australian Taxation Office regarding their eligibility to claim GST credits.

07

Delivery & Other Charges

Delivery is often dependent on the destination, container size, vehicle type and site requirements.

Where delivery or another service attracts GST, the applicable tax treatment will be reflected in the relevant quotation, checkout or invoice.

Any additional charge that forms part of an order should be communicated before payment or before the additional service is authorised.

08

Export Transactions

Certain goods exported from Australia may qualify for GST-free treatment when the requirements of Australian GST law are satisfied.

Export transactions are assessed individually. Additional evidence or documentation may be required before GST-free treatment can be applied.

Customers planning an export should contact us before placing or paying for an order so that the proposed transaction and required documentation can be reviewed.

09

Payment Methods

The payment methods available for an order will be shown through the website checkout, quotation or invoice.

Customers should only send payment using instructions supplied through our website or authorised business communications.

Where a payment method attracts a surcharge or other fee, the applicable amount will be disclosed before the payment is completed where required.

10

Pricing Errors

We aim to keep website pricing and product information accurate.

If an obvious pricing, tax or calculation error is identified before an order is fulfilled, we will contact the customer to explain the issue and the available options.

Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

11

Invoice Corrections & Copies

If you require a copy of an invoice or believe information on an invoice is incorrect, contact us with your order details.

Where appropriate, we will review the request and provide corrected or replacement documentation in accordance with applicable requirements.
